We are seeking an experienced and skilled pizza oven masters to join our team at Lilly’s Pizza . The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of how to successfully operate a pizza oven, in order to create delicious and perfectly cooked pizzas, as well as other baked and roasted creations. These skills include a a deep understanding of pizza placement, temperature control, and pizza rotation. As a pizza oven master, you will be responsible for managing the pizza oven: coordinating and orchestrating the movements of as many as 12- 15 food items in and out of the oven (at peak times), cooking them to perfection, and ensuring that the rest of the kitchen operates smoothly.

Pay & Perks

• Pay starts at $14/hour plus tips, but is commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

• Manage the pizza oven and ensure that it is maintained properly
• Control the temperature of the oven to ensure that pizzas are cooked to perfection
• Rotate pizzas as needed to ensure that they are evenly cooked
• Monitor the cooking process and ensure the pizzas are not overcooked or undercooked
• Assist with other kitchen duties as needed, such as preparing appetizers and entrees
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all health and safety regulations
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and storing kitchen equipment
• Train new staff members on pizza oven operations and procedures
• Other duties as assigned by the management team

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of pizza oven operations, including oven dynamics, temperature control and pizza rotation, is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Ability to work well with others and follow directions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
